Common Ground - ATP (free)
In the free exposition 'Common Ground', we showcase work by participants of the past Advanced Textile Program (ATP). The presentation on the Panoramadeck offers an insight into the development of young talent and is a must-see for anyone interested in participating in the ATP, for which registration opened on the same day.

Common Ground
Joint learning and experimentation are at the heart of the programme. Each participant brings their own ideas and experiences. These are augmented by the vast amount of knowledge, expertise and facilities of TextielMuseum | TextielLab, and then those of the professional network of artists, designers and industry partners that the museum and lab work with. All in all, this is an invaluable resource for a budding professional.
Under the heading ‘Common Ground’, the ten participants in the 2024 ATP present their joint development and experiments. In their intensive collaboration, a common language emerged, with which they explored self-chosen themes. Their shared fascination with textiles formed the connection or common ground in it. Each participant brought unique knowledge and questions, learning not only from the experts within the organisation but also from each other. The works shown here reflect their ongoing exploration and development within the ATP. Because these experimental objects are not fully developed, they offer a fascinating view of the steps in their professional growth.

"Working with ten other peers, with technicians and developers, curators of the museum, made a sort of feeling of being part of a textile family, that you can rely on and trust."
Double opening
The ATP expo will be on display for free on the Panorama Deck from 5 April and, in addition to selected experiments and outcomes, will also show a film in which all candidates speak about the programme and the working process. This again highlights the ‘boost’ the designers experience at the beginning of their careers when given the chance to experiment freely on our industrial machines. Parralel to the opening, registration for the ATP 2025 edition will start.
