Students step into designers’ shoes by researching and using innovative techniques and materials. What does a design process look like? Where do you find your inspiration and how do you turn this into your own pattern design? Like actual design teams, students are being challenged to engage together in a play of forms and lines; with everyone’s contribution they collectively design one pattern design.
The group will start off by investigating the museum guided by one of our museum teachers, after which they actively start in the studio. They’ll work with an innovative printing technique using heat and pressure to fixate colours into fabrics.
