These are the

TextielMuseum house rules

General rules

  • Smoking in the museum is not permitted.
  • Pets are not allowed in the museum, with the exception of guide dogs (in possession of a pass).
  • Food and drinks can only be consumed in the TextielCafé.
  • The consumption of your own food and drinks in the TextielCafé are not permitted.

Photography & film

  • Our house photographer regularly makes photos for journalistic or educational purposes. These images can be used for news items on our website and in museum communication materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, let us know in advance, or inform our photographer during your visit.
  • Photography without flash and tripod is allowed in the TextielMuseum, unless otherwise indicated. A special rule applies to the TextielLab: out of respect for the copyright of designers and artists, it is not permitted to record work in detail.
  • Photographing with (semi) professional equipment, flash and tripod is not allowed, unless permission has been given by the Marketing & Communication Team by email via communicatie@textielmuseum.nl.
  • Filming is not permitted, with the exception of the exhibition The Woollen Blanket Factory, unless permission has been given by the Marketing & Communication Team by email via communicatie@textielmuseum.nl. Filming outside of the building is allowed.
  • The TextielMuseum does not lend itself as a location for photo or video shoots. Bridal photography on the grounds of the TextielMuseum is allowed, the normal entrance fees apply and you must make an appointment via boekingen@textielmuseum.nl.
