Under the title Common Ground, the ten ATP participants of 2024 showcase their joint development and experiments. Throughout the program, they worked closely together and developed a shared language to explore self-chosen themes. The exhibition highlights how their fascination with textiles became the connecting factor, and how each of them contributed unique knowledge, questions, and perspectives.

By Marjan van Oeffelt & Sanne Schuurman
In this demo, product developer Marjan van Oeffelt and designer Sanne Schuurman will share everything about their collaboration on a new label product for the TextielMuseum. They’ll demonstrate how recycled yarns are not only a sustainable choice but also the starting point for an innovative design journey. What happens when you swap traditional yarns for steel wires? In this session, Lotte van Dijk shows how metal is not a hindrance but a source of inspiration. Through slides and samples, you’ll discover how this experiment came about, the techniques she uses, and the artistic and technical challenges involved. You'll also gain insights into the upcoming Weaving with Metal open call — and how your ideas might be a perfect match.

Selection & Process
By Babette Portzgen & Danique Klijs
Curious about how our selection process works? During this drop-in session, Front Office Manager Babette and curator Danique offer a transparent look into how projects are chosen and developed. They’ll guide you through the full journey: from grant applications to workflow and intellectual property. A valuable session for makers — and anyone interested in what it takes to bring a project to life.
Machine Park Tour
