Masterclass: Sculptural Shaping
In this masterclass, you'll work with your own homemade pin-tuck fabric. Artist Kinga Földi will teach you how to create beautiful organic sculptures with it. In a preparatory online session (September 4th), Kinga will explain how to prepare a piece of fabric using the pin-tuck method. You'll work with this fabric during the masterclass.
Pin-tuck is a decorative sewing method often used in folk art and traditional costumes. The fabric is pleated, and each pleat is sewn individually. Kinga reveals additional processes for transforming this pleated fabric into organic shapes.
About Kinga Földi
This masterclass will be led by Kinga Földi, a Hungarian visual artist and designer specializing in pin-tuck sculptures. This stitching technique, originally used in blouses and other garments, has become the defining element of her creations, shaping the intricate scales of her sculptures. Her working method is strongly influenced by nature, with flora and fauna serving as key sources of inspiration, echoed in her silk sculptures.

- This masterclass will be given in English
- Before this masterclass, you will participate in an online session on September 4th at 16:00 (the meeting will also be recorded, so if you really can't join, you can watch it later). Kinga Földi will then explain how to prepare your fabrics. During the masterclass on October 3d, you will use the materials you prepared
Cancellation and reimbursement
What if you have bought a ticket but cannot attend the masterclass?
- If you let us know that you cannot attend at least four weeks before the masterclass, we can cancel your participation and give you a full refund. You can also choose to change your ticket to the same masterclass on another date, provided there are still places available.
- Unfortunately, if you cancel less than four weeks in advance, you are not entitled to a refund or rebooking.
- You may pass your ticket on to someone else. If so, we would like to know who will take your place no later than one week in advance.
