RAW MATERIALS, SEMI-FINISHED GOODS AND END PRODUCTS

‘Textielwarenkast’ (Textile Storeroom) Workshop

In the museum library, group workplaces have been set up where students can study materials used for making textiles.

Students will be familiar with cotton and wool, but do they know that textiles can also be made from glass, milk and metal. Under the supervision of a museum teacher, students actively work with materials from the ‘Textile Storeroom’ and books from the Stalenkamer (Sample Room). They become acquainted with various textile raw materials, semi-finished goods and end products.
