Together with other kids you get a tour through the museum, here you see the machines and the artworks and get a broad idea of the museum. After the tour you go to the Studio’s to create your own work of art! Each meeting of The TextielClub is accompanied by a museum educator and the themes change every vacation.
The maximum number of participants is 15 children per group. The cost per meeting amount to € 3.50 per child (museum admission free).
Language
The TextielClub will be held in Dutch, but English speaking kids can participate and receive instructions in English.

Felt Adventure
Felt is created when the scales of the wool hook into each other. Wool can be felted by suds, heat and friction. The most important requirements for this workshop are therefore hot water, soap and exercise.
Tie & Dye
Tie & Dye means ‘bind fabric together and paint’. That is exactly what is being done during this workshop. By binding the fabric together in specific ways and dyeing it in beautiful colors, a special pattern is created. This technique is widely used in Japan.
Landscapes
During this workshop you create your own patchwork landscape on a weaving window and learn the different weaving techniques. Of course, you can take a look at the large weavingmachines in the TextielLab first.
Wrapped Works
Are you able to keep a secret? Do you want to learn how to do this? You’ll find it out at The Textielclub. Think of your biggest secret and store it securely in this Wrapped Work.
Colour Expedition
Make your own tropical summer colours with paint and ecoline. Tape off some parts of the fabric or cover them with candle wax (guided by instructor), and start painting! It will be a real color explosion today!
